Maths student featured in Irish Times
The Irish Times, in its 8 January 2025 edition, featured TU Dublin mathematics student Megan Dooley in an article entitled "Further education and training: A smart pathway for school leavers".
Megan is a third-year student of our full-time, honours, undergraduate degree programme TU874 BSc (Hons) Mathematical Sciences and was a recipient of the Kastus Scholarship for Women in Mathematics and Statistics. We are very proud of the achievements of Megan and she speaks compellingly in the Irish Times article of being an FET student, her background and her drive to study something useful that she really loves.
First highlighted in our articles championing Megan's journey as a trailblazer for other women and those from minorities who wish to pursue and succeed in STEM, we hope that the wider publicity of Megan's story will help other women decide to follow their dreams and take one of the many routes available to study mathematics and statistics.
